Description
Our Semax peptide vial is Semax supplied as freeze-dried powder in a sealed vial, in 5mg, 10mg or 30mg. Each batch is tested by LC-MS to 99% purity or higher. Prices start at $29.99. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
It’s also available as Semax nasal spray. You’ll find similar products in our peptide vials range.
What is Semax?
Semax is a seven-amino-acid peptide (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro) based on a fragment of ACTH, with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail added for stability. It was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow.
It’s registered in Russia and used there as a nasal drop.

Semax in published research
Dolotov and colleagues reported that Semax raised BDNF and its receptor TrkB in rat hippocampus.
Russian clinical studies looked at stroke recovery.
You can find the papers on PubMed. We don’t make claims beyond what that literature reports.
Preparing Semax in the lab
Semax arrives as a freeze-dried (lyophilized) powder in a sealed glass vial. It has to be dissolved before use, and for most peptides that means bacteriostatic water. Let the water run slowly down the inside wall of the vial, then swirl gently until the solution is clear. Don’t shake it.
The amount of water you add sets the concentration. For example, adding 2mL of bacteriostatic water to a 5mg vial gives 2.5mg per mL. Write the volume and the date on the label so anyone picking up the vial later knows what’s in it.
We sell bacteriostatic water in 30mL vials, and acetic acid solution for the few peptides that don’t dissolve well in water.
Choosing a Semax vial size
The vial comes in 5mg, 10mg and 30mg. The contents are the same apart from the amount, so the choice comes down to how much your study needs and how quickly you’ll use a mixed vial.
Mixed peptides don’t last as long as dry ones, so several smaller vials can work out better than one large one if you’re running a slow study.
Purity testing for Semax
We test each batch of Semax by LC-MS, which pairs liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry. The chromatography splits the sample into its components and the mass spectrometer identifies them, which tells you both identity and purity. This batch came in at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
Storing your Semax
Keep it in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and don’t freeze it. Once mixed, keep the vial in the fridge and use it within a few weeks. Unmixed vials keep much longer, so only reconstitute what you need. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Common questions about the Semax peptide vial
Does Semax come with water to mix it?
No. The vial holds only the freeze-dried powder. Add bacteriostatic water to your order if you don’t already have some.
How long does mixed Semax last?
Kept in the fridge, most reconstituted peptides are good for a few weeks. Unmixed vials last much longer, especially in the fridge or freezer.
Is the Semax peptide vial in stock?
Yes. Every option on this page is in stock and ready to ship.
