SERMs compared with aromatase inhibitors

A SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) blocks or activates estrogen receptors depending on the tissue. Enclomiphene blocks them in the hypothalamus and pituitary, which raises LH, FSH and testosterone in studies.

Exemestane works differently: it permanently disables aromatase, the enzyme that turns androgens into estrogens. Both are used as reference compounds in hormone research.

How we test our SERMs

Each batch is checked by LC-MS (liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry), which confirms both what the compound is and how pure it is. Each product page lists the purity and the CAS number where one exists. Write the batch number from the label into your records, since small differences between batches are normal.
