What is Fluridil?
Fluridil (topilutamide) is a topical androgen receptor antagonist developed in the Czech Republic and sold there as Eucapil. It breaks down in water, which limits how much reaches the bloodstream.
It’s used in research on androgen-driven hair loss.

What studies say about Fluridil
Sovak and colleagues reported in Dermatologic Surgery (2002) that a topical fluridil solution increased the share of growing-phase hairs in men with androgenetic alopecia.
They didn’t find measurable levels in blood.

Weighing and handling Fluridil powder
Buying Fluridil as a powder gives you full control. Weigh out exactly what your protocol calls for, make up your own solutions, or encapsulate it yourself.
For small amounts you’ll want a scale that reads to at least 0.01g, and ideally 0.001g. Our digital scale and micro scoops make it easier to get consistent measurements. Weigh onto clean weighing paper, and close the bag or jar straight after so the powder doesn’t pick up moisture.
Making a solution from Fluridil powder
To make a stock solution, decide on the final volume and concentration first. For 30mL at 10mg/mL you’d weigh 300mg of Fluridil, dissolve it in about 25mL of solvent, then top up to exactly 30mL.
Check the compound’s solubility in your chosen solvent before you start, and try a small test amount first. Store the finished solution in a labelled glass bottle.
Purity testing for Fluridil
Every batch of Fluridil is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
How to store Fluridil
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry scoop each time, and reseal the container straight away. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Common questions about the Fluridil powder
What can I dissolve Fluridil powder in?
That depends on the compound’s solubility and your protocol. Check the solubility data for your solvent first, and test a small amount before making up a full batch.
What scale do I need?
One that reads to 0.01g at minimum, and 0.001g for very small amounts. Our pocket scale reads to 0.01g.
