Description
Our N-acetyl L-tyrosine liquid is a measured liquid solution at a fixed concentration. Each batch is tested by LC-MS to 99% purity or higher. It’s $10.99. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
The same compound comes in other formats too: N-acetyl L-tyrosine powder. You’ll find similar products in our nootropic liquids range.
What is N-acetyl L-tyrosine?
N-acetyl L-tyrosine (NALT) is tyrosine with an acetyl group on the amino nitrogen. That makes it far more water-soluble than plain tyrosine.
It’s used in IV nutrition for that reason.

N-acetyl L-tyrosine in published research
Studies in people on IV nutrition found that much of it passes out unchanged, and only part is converted to tyrosine.
So in research, plain L-tyrosine is often the better reference.
You can find the papers on PubMed. We don’t make claims beyond what that literature reports.
How to use the N-acetyl L-tyrosine liquid
N-acetyl L-tyrosine liquid is pre-dissolved at 100mg/mL, which makes measuring simple: you work in volumes instead of weighing tiny amounts of powder.
Use a clean graduated pipette or dropper for each draw so nothing goes back into the bottle. Shake gently first, because some solutions settle over time. We stock transfer pipettes and dropper bottles if you need them.
Making working dilutions of N-acetyl L-tyrosine
If your protocol calls for a lower concentration, dilute a measured volume into a clean glass bottle. For example, 1mL of the 100mg/mL solution plus 1mL of carrier gives 2mL at 50mg/mL. Use the same carrier where possible, or a solvent your protocol allows, and mix gently.
Make up only what you’ll use in the short term, and label the new bottle with the concentration and date.
Purity testing for N-acetyl L-tyrosine
Every batch of N-acetyl L-tyrosine is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
Storage and handling
Keep it refrigerated. Keep the cap tight so the solution doesn’t evaporate or pick up contaminants. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
