What is SLU-PP-332?

SLU-PP-332 is an agonist of the estrogen-related receptors, mostly ERR-alpha, developed at Saint Louis University. ERRs control genes for mitochondria and fat burning in muscle.

It’s sometimes called an exercise mimetic.

Research on SLU-PP-332

Billon and colleagues reported in 2023 that it raised endurance and fat oxidation in mice.

Later mouse work looked at obesity and heart function. Data are preclinical.

Measuring SLU-PP-332 liquid

The liquid form saves you the work of dissolving powder. SLU-PP-332 is already in solution at 500mcg/mL, so every millilitre holds the same amount. A 1mL draw gives you 500mcg.

Use a clean graduated pipette or dropper for each draw so nothing goes back into the bottle. Shake gently first, because some solutions settle over time. We stock transfer pipettes and dropper bottles if you need them.

Making working dilutions of SLU-PP-332

If your protocol calls for a lower concentration, dilute a measured volume into a clean glass bottle. For example, 1mL of the 500mcg/mL solution plus 1mL of carrier gives 2mL at 250mcg/mL. Use the same carrier where possible, or a solvent your protocol allows, and mix gently.

Make up only what you’ll use in the short term, and label the new bottle with the concentration and date.

We test each batch of SLU-PP-332 by LC-MS, which pairs liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry. The chromatography splits the sample into its components and the mass spectrometer identifies them, which tells you both identity and purity. This batch came in at 99% or higher.
