What is Bromantane?
Bromantane (Ladasten) is an adamantane derivative developed at the Zakusov Institute of Pharmacology in Moscow in the 1980s. It’s related to amantadine and memantine and combines stimulant and anti-anxiety effects.
It’s registered in Russia for asthenia, a condition of chronic fatigue.

Research on Bromantane
Russian studies describe it raising dopamine synthesis by increasing the enzymes tyrosine hydroxylase and aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase.
It was banned after it was found in athletes at the 1996 Olympics and remains on the WADA prohibited list.
You can find the papers on PubMed. We don’t make claims beyond what that literature reports.
Weighing and handling Bromantane powder
Loose powder is the most flexible way to buy Bromantane. You can weigh any amount you need, dissolve it in your own solvent, or fill your own capsules. It’s also the cheapest format per milligram.
For small amounts you’ll want a scale that reads to at least 0.01g, and ideally 0.001g. Our digital scale and micro scoops make it easier to get consistent measurements. Weigh onto clean weighing paper, and close the bag or jar straight after so the powder doesn’t pick up moisture.
Making a solution from Bromantane powder
To make a stock solution, decide on the final volume and concentration first. For 30mL at 10mg/mL you’d weigh 300mg of Bromantane, dissolve it in about 25mL of solvent, then top up to exactly 30mL.
Check the compound’s solubility in your chosen solvent before you start, and try a small test amount first. Store the finished solution in a labelled glass bottle.
Bromantane quality and testing
Every batch of Bromantane is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
Storing your Bromantane
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry scoop each time, and reseal the container straight away. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Common questions about the Bromantane powder
What can I dissolve Bromantane powder in?
That depends on the compound’s solubility and your protocol. Check the solubility data for your solvent first, and test a small amount before making up a full batch.
What scale do I need?
One that reads to 0.01g at minimum, and 0.001g for very small amounts. Our pocket scale reads to 0.01g.
