What is Cardarine?

Cardarine (GW501516) is a PPAR-delta agonist developed by GlaxoSmithKline and Ligand in the 1990s. It’s often sold next to SARMs but works through a different receptor that controls fat burning genes in muscle.

GSK stopped development after rodent studies linked long-term high exposure to cancer in several organs. It’s on the WADA prohibited list.

Research on Cardarine

Narkar and colleagues showed in Cell (2008) that GW501516 combined with AICAR raised running endurance in mice, and AICAR alone had a similar effect in sedentary mice.

Earlier work by Oliver and colleagues (PNAS, 2001) reported improved HDL cholesterol in obese monkeys.

How Cardarine gel packs work

Each gel pack is a sealed, single-use packet holding 20mg of Cardarine. The gel is made for oral administration in research models. It isn’t a topical product, so it’s not meant to go on skin.

Because every packet holds the same amount, gel packs are an easy way to keep amounts identical across a study without weighing or measuring liquids. Packs come in 5, 10 or 30, so you can match the order to the length of your study.

Planning a study with Cardarine gel packs

Count one packet per administration, then add a few spare. Keep all the packets for one study from the same order so they share a batch.

How we test Cardarine

Every batch of Cardarine is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.

Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.

How to store Cardarine

Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Leave packets sealed until you need them, and use each one once. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
