What is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine bound to a copper ion. GHK occurs naturally in human plasma, saliva and urine, and its levels fall with age.
It’s used widely in skin and wound research, and in cosmetic formulas.

Research on GHK-Cu
Loren Pickart, who first isolated GHK in 1973, has published reviews of its effects on collagen synthesis, wound contraction and gene expression in cell and animal studies.
Maquart and colleagues reported that GHK-Cu increased collagen in rat wound chambers.
You can find the papers on PubMed. We don’t make claims beyond what that literature reports.
What’s in each GHK-Cu capsule
Each capsule holds a fixed, measured amount of GHK-Cu (2mg), so there’s nothing to weigh out. For studies that need the same amount every time, that’s the main advantage over loose powder.
If you need amounts that don’t match the capsule size, the powder is more flexible, because you can weigh exactly what each sample needs and make up your own solutions or capsules at whatever strength your protocol calls for. Capsules are best for repeat work where the amount doesn’t change. Keep the lid tight, since moisture is the main thing that degrades capsule contents.
Planning a study with GHK-Cu capsules
Work out how many capsules your study needs before you order. Multiply the number of subjects by the number of administrations per subject, then add a few spare for losses. With 60 capsules in a bottle, that tells you straight away how many bottles to buy.
Keep all the capsules for one study from the same batch where you can. It removes batch-to-batch variation from your results.
Purity testing for GHK-Cu
We test each batch of GHK-Cu by LC-MS, which pairs liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry. The chromatography splits the sample into its components and the mass spectrometer identifies them, which tells you both identity and purity. This batch came in at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
Storage and handling
Keep it in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and don’t freeze it. Keep the desiccant in the bottle and the lid closed tight. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
