What is Laxogenin?
Laxogenin (6-oxotigogenin) is a steroidal sapogenin from Smilax plants. It’s the parent compound of 5-alpha-hydroxy laxogenin and belongs to the brassinosteroid family.
It doesn’t bind the androgen receptor, so it isn’t a steroid hormone in the usual sense.
