What is LGD-2226?
LGD-2226 is a nonsteroidal SARM discovered by Ligand Pharmaceuticals. It’s an earlier compound than LGD-4033 and was studied for bone and muscle loss.
It never went into human trials.

Research on LGD-2226
Miner and colleagues reported in Endocrinology (2007) that LGD-2226 kept bone and muscle in castrated rats without driving prostate growth.
Another rat study looked at its effects on sexual behavior in castrated males, which it restored.

Choosing a size and carrier for LGD-2226 liquid
Both bottle sizes hold the same 10mg/mL solution, so the only difference is how much you get. With the PEG (original) carrier, 30mL costs $129.99 and 60mL costs $259.99. The 30mL bottle is the cheaper way to try the format before you commit to a larger one.

Making working dilutions of LGD-2226
If your protocol calls for a lower concentration, dilute a measured volume into a clean glass bottle. For example, 1mL of the 10mg/mL solution plus 1mL of carrier gives 2mL at 5mg/mL. Use the same carrier where possible, or a solvent your protocol allows, and mix gently.
Make up only what you’ll use in the short term, and label the new bottle with the concentration and date.
LGD-2226 quality and testing
Every batch of LGD-2226 is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
Storage and handling
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the cap tight, and don’t leave the bottle in a hot car or on a sunny windowsill. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
