What is PT-141?
PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a cyclic seven-amino-acid peptide derived from melanotan II. It activates melanocortin receptors, mainly MC4R, in the brain.
An injectable form is FDA-approved as Vyleesi for hypoactive sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women.

How the PT-141 nasal spray works
The PT-141 nasal spray comes as a liquid in a metered spray bottle, so it’s already in solution and there’s no powder to mix. A metered pump gives roughly the same volume with every press, which makes it easy to keep amounts consistent. Each spray delivers about 1mg per 2 sprays, with 40mg in the bottle.
Prime the pump with a few presses before the first use, until you get a fine, even mist. Keep the nozzle clean and capped between uses, and note the number of sprays you use in your records.
How we test PT-141
Every batch of PT-141 is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
How to store PT-141
Keep it in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and don’t freeze it. Keep the bottle upright with the cap on, and wipe the nozzle after use. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
