What is BPAP?
BPAP ((R)-(-)-1-(benzofuran-2-yl)-2-propylaminopentane) is a catecholaminergic and serotonergic activity enhancer developed by Joseph Knoll in Hungary. It’s related to selegiline but works at much lower concentrations.
It boosts the release of dopamine, noradrenaline and serotonin only when neurons fire.

Measuring BPAP liquid
The liquid form saves you the work of dissolving powder. BPAP is already in solution at 100mcg/mL, so every millilitre holds the same amount. A 1mL draw gives you 100mcg.
Use a clean graduated pipette or dropper for each draw so nothing goes back into the bottle. Shake gently first, because some solutions settle over time. We stock transfer pipettes and dropper bottles if you need them.
Making working dilutions of BPAP
If your protocol calls for a lower concentration, dilute a measured volume into a clean glass bottle. For example, 1mL of the 100mcg/mL solution plus 1mL of carrier gives 2mL at 50mcg/mL. Use the same carrier where possible, or a solvent your protocol allows, and mix gently.
Make up only what you’ll use in the short term, and label the new bottle with the concentration and date.
Purity testing for BPAP
Every batch of BPAP is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
How to store BPAP
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the cap tight so the solution doesn’t evaporate or pick up contaminants. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
