Description
Our CMS-121 liquid is CMS-121 supplied as a measured liquid solution. Each batch is tested by LC-MS to 99% purity or higher. It’s $35.99. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
Prefer a different format? We also stock CMS-121 capsules and CMS-121 powder. See all nootropic liquids for more options in this format.
What is CMS-121?
CMS-121 is a synthetic derivative of fisetin, a flavonoid from strawberries, developed at the Salk Institute by Pamela Maher and David Schubert. It was optimised to protect neurons from several types of age-related stress at once.
It acts partly by inhibiting the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1.

Research on CMS-121
Ates and colleagues reported in 2020 that it reduced memory loss and brain inflammation in Alzheimer’s model mice.
Other mouse studies looked at metabolic aging. Data are preclinical.

How to use the CMS-121 liquid
CMS-121 liquid is pre-dissolved at 16mg/mL, which makes measuring simple: you work in volumes instead of weighing tiny amounts of powder.
Use a clean graduated pipette or dropper for each draw so nothing goes back into the bottle. Shake gently first, because some solutions settle over time. We stock transfer pipettes and dropper bottles if you need them.
Making working dilutions of CMS-121
If your protocol calls for a lower concentration, dilute a measured volume into a clean glass bottle. For example, 1mL of the 16mg/mL solution plus 1mL of carrier gives 2mL at 8mg/mL. Use the same carrier where possible, or a solvent your protocol allows, and mix gently.
Make up only what you’ll use in the short term, and label the new bottle with the concentration and date.
How we test CMS-121
Every batch of CMS-121 is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
Storage and handling
Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place away from light. Keep the cap tight so the solution doesn’t evaporate or pick up contaminants. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
