What is GTS-21?
GTS-21 (DMXB-A) is a partial agonist at alpha7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. It’s a derivative of anabaseine, a toxin found in marine worms.
It’s also studied for its anti-inflammatory effects through the vagal cholinergic pathway.

What studies say about GTS-21
Olincy and colleagues reported in Archives of General Psychiatry (2006) that it improved attention and working memory in people with schizophrenia.
A larger follow-up trial gave mixed results.

Working with loose GTS-21 powder
Loose powder is the most flexible way to buy GTS-21. You can weigh any amount you need, dissolve it in your own solvent, or fill your own capsules. It’s also the cheapest format per milligram.
For small amounts you’ll want a scale that reads to at least 0.01g, and ideally 0.001g. Our digital scale and micro scoops make it easier to get consistent measurements. Weigh onto clean weighing paper, and close the bag or jar straight after so the powder doesn’t pick up moisture.
Making a solution from GTS-21 powder
To make a stock solution, decide on the final volume and concentration first. For 30mL at 10mg/mL you’d weigh 300mg of GTS-21, dissolve it in about 25mL of solvent, then top up to exactly 30mL.
Check the compound’s solubility in your chosen solvent before you start, and try a small test amount first. Store the finished solution in a labelled glass bottle.
How we test GTS-21
We test each batch of GTS-21 by LC-MS, which pairs liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry. The chromatography splits the sample into its components and the mass spectrometer identifies them, which tells you both identity and purity. This batch came in at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
Storage and handling
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry scoop each time, and reseal the container straight away. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
