What is HBT1?
HBT1 (CAS 489408-02-8) is a positive allosteric modulator of AMPA receptors from Takeda. It was chosen because it has very little direct agonist activity on its own.
That makes it lower risk for overstimulation than some older AMPA potentiators.

Kunugi and colleagues reported in Neuropsychopharmacology (2019) that HBT1 raised BDNF in neurons with little agonist effect.

Working with loose HBT1 powder

Making a solution from HBT1 powder
To make a stock solution, decide on the final volume and concentration first. For 30mL at 10mg/mL you’d weigh 300mg of HBT1, dissolve it in about 25mL of solvent, then top up to exactly 30mL.
Check the compound’s solubility in your chosen solvent before you start, and try a small test amount first. Store the finished solution in a labelled glass bottle.
Purity testing for HBT1
Every batch of HBT1 is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
Storage and handling
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry scoop each time, and reseal the container straight away. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
