Powder or capsules: choosing your Roxadustat
This listing covers Roxadustat in more than one form. The loose powder is the flexible, lower-cost option if you’re weighing your own amounts. The capsules hold a fixed amount each, which saves time when every sample has to be the same.
If you pick the powder, a scale that reads to 0.01g or better is worth having. Our digital scale and micro scoops are made for this kind of work. Either way, keep the container closed tight so moisture stays out.
Making a solution from Roxadustat powder
To make a stock solution, decide on the final volume and concentration first. For 30mL at 10mg/mL you’d weigh 300mg of Roxadustat, dissolve it in about 25mL of solvent, then top up to exactly 30mL.
Check the compound’s solubility in your chosen solvent before you start, and try a small test amount first. Store the finished solution in a labelled glass bottle.
Roxadustat quality and testing
We test each batch of Roxadustat by LC-MS, which pairs liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry. The chromatography splits the sample into its components and the mass spectrometer identifies them, which tells you both identity and purity. This batch came in at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
Storage and handling
Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place away from light. Use a clean, dry scoop for the powder, and keep both forms sealed between uses. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
