What is YK-11?
YK-11 is a steroidal compound built from a dihydrotestosterone backbone, first described by Japanese researchers in 2011. It’s often grouped with SARMs, but it’s steroidal and only a partial agonist at the androgen receptor.
Its reported trait is raising follistatin levels in muscle cells, which ties it to myostatin research.

Research on YK-11
Kanno and colleagues showed in Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin (2013) that YK-11 drove muscle cell differentiation in C2C12 myoblasts more strongly than DHT and increased follistatin expression.
A 2018 study reported effects on osteoblast cells as well. There are no human trials.

Choosing a size and carrier for YK-11 liquid
Both bottle sizes hold the same 10mg/mL solution, so the only difference is how much you get. With the PEG (original) carrier, 30mL costs $70.99 and 60mL costs $140.98. The 30mL bottle is the cheaper way to try the format before you commit to a larger one.
You can choose between PEG (original) and Poly-Cell™. Pick one carrier and stay with it for a whole study, because switching halfway through adds a variable you’d have to account for.
Shake the bottle gently before each draw and use a clean pipette every time. Our transfer pipettes and dropper bottles are sold separately.
Making working dilutions of YK-11
If your protocol calls for a lower concentration, dilute a measured volume into a clean glass bottle. For example, 1mL of the 10mg/mL solution plus 1mL of carrier gives 2mL at 5mg/mL. Use the same carrier where possible, or a solvent your protocol allows, and mix gently.
Make up only what you’ll use in the short term, and label the new bottle with the concentration and date.
YK-11 quality and testing
Every batch of YK-11 is checked with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) before it goes on sale. LC-MS separates a sample into its parts and identifies each one by mass, so it confirms what the compound is and how much of the sample it makes up. The current batch tested at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
How to store YK-11
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the cap tight, and don’t leave the bottle in a hot car or on a sunny windowsill. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
