Description
The YK-11 powder from Umbrella Labs gives you YK-11 as loose powder. Each batch is tested by LC-MS to 99% purity or higher. It’s $70.99. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
The same compound comes in other formats too: YK-11 liquid, YK-11 gel packs and YK-11 capsules. See all SARM powders for more options in this format.
What is YK-11?
YK-11 is a steroidal compound built from a dihydrotestosterone backbone, first described by Japanese researchers in 2011. It’s often grouped with SARMs, but it’s steroidal and only a partial agonist at the androgen receptor.
Its reported trait is raising follistatin levels in muscle cells, which ties it to myostatin research.

YK-11 in published research
Kanno and colleagues showed in Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin (2013) that YK-11 drove muscle cell differentiation in C2C12 myoblasts more strongly than DHT and increased follistatin expression.
A 2018 study reported effects on osteoblast cells as well. There are no human trials.

Tips for measuring YK-11 powder
Buying YK-11 as a powder gives you full control. Weigh out exactly what your protocol calls for, make up your own solutions, or encapsulate it yourself.
For small amounts you’ll want a scale that reads to at least 0.01g, and ideally 0.001g. Our digital scale and micro scoops make it easier to get consistent measurements. Weigh onto clean weighing paper, and close the bag or jar straight after so the powder doesn’t pick up moisture.
Making a solution from YK-11 powder
To make a stock solution, decide on the final volume and concentration first. For 30mL at 10mg/mL you’d weigh 300mg of YK-11, dissolve it in about 25mL of solvent, then top up to exactly 30mL.
Check the compound’s solubility in your chosen solvent before you start, and try a small test amount first. Store the finished solution in a labelled glass bottle.
Purity testing for YK-11
We test each batch of YK-11 by LC-MS, which pairs liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry. The chromatography splits the sample into its components and the mass spectrometer identifies them, which tells you both identity and purity. This batch came in at 99% or higher.
Small differences between batches are normal, so write the batch number from the label into your records. If something looks wrong when your order arrives, like discoloured powder or a cloudy solution, set it aside and don’t use it.
How to store YK-11
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry scoop each time, and reseal the container straight away. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Common questions about the YK-11 powder
What can I dissolve YK-11 powder in?
That depends on the compound’s solubility and your protocol. Check the solubility data for your solvent first, and test a small amount before making up a full batch.
What scale do I need?
One that reads to 0.01g at minimum, and 0.001g for very small amounts. Our pocket scale reads to 0.01g.
