What is SR-17018?
SR-17018 is a mu-opioid receptor agonist from Laura Bohn’s lab at Scripps Florida. It’s biased toward G protein signaling and away from beta-arrestin recruitment.
That bias was the idea behind trying to separate pain relief from breathing depression.

Research on SR-17018
Schmid and colleagues reported in Cell (2017) that SR-17018 relieved pain in mice with less respiratory depression than morphine.
Grim and colleagues later reported that it didn’t produce the same tolerance pattern as morphine in mice.

Making a solution from SR-17018 powder
To make a stock solution, decide on the final volume and concentration first. For 30mL at 10mg/mL you’d weigh 300mg of SR-17018, dissolve it in about 25mL of solvent, then top up to exactly 30mL.
Check the compound’s solubility in your chosen solvent before you start, and try a small test amount first. Store the finished solution in a labelled glass bottle.
How to store SR-17018
Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place away from light. Use a clean, dry scoop each time, and reseal the container straight away. Label anything you decant with the compound, amount and date, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
